This position is located in the Office of Audience Engagement of the National Portrait Gallery (NPG), Smithsonian Institution. The employee serves as the Education Manager and designs, plans, implements, markets, and evaluates a full range of education programs and services for one or more audiences assigned to the Education Programs team.Learn more about this agency
- Develops short and long-range goals and objectives for education programs and services based on current educational theory and practices.
- Applies latest methods and emerging technologies into designing engaging, interpretive learning experiences about the American experiences through the exploration of its arts, history, culture and biography.
- Establishes procedures to capture audience statistics and evaluations.
- Manages education program resources through the proper development of budgets and spending plans.
Occasional travel - Travel 1 or 2 times per year.
