    The Operating Room Surgical Scrub Technician (ST) is a member of the surgical team and provides assistance to the surgeon and other team members during surgical procedures.
    The Scrub Technician functions as the primary scrub person responsible for the handling of
    instruments, supplies and equipment during all surgical procedures such as, thoracic, vascular,
    neurosurgery, orthopedic, ophthalmology, gynecology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, urology, dental surgery and a full range of general surgery, minimally invasive procedures and laparoscopic cases. The ST must possess knowledge of highly technical medical instruments and equipment, human anatomy, sterile technique to prepare and protect the sterile field during surgery, proper cleaning techniques and the handling of contaminated items, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team in order to prepare for the procedure with speed and accuracy. The ST must possess effective communication skills in order to interact with physicians, coworkers, patients, patient's families, manufacturer representatives, and other medical center personnel.

    Work Schedule: Rotation of day and evening shifts with on-call evenings, weekends and holidays.
