    Summary

    You will serve as a MARINE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the DIRECTORATE SHIP MANAGEMENT (DSM), SEALIFT SHIPS (PM5), SURGE SEALIFT (PM51) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    Responsibilities

    • You will ensure customer requirements are met with the highest quality service possible within existing constraints after assessing and determining minimum sponsor needs.
    • You will monitor the operational capabilities and material condition of assigned ships.
    • You will initiate action to ensure that ships capabilities are current with evolving mission requirements.
    • You will develop and coordinate prepositioning strategies and activities associated with DoD requirements.
    • You will service as the advisor to the Project Officer on all matters related to assigned ships.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
