    Summary

    This position serves as an Acquisition Business Specialist in Army Futures Command (AFC), Command Contracting Office located in Austin, Texas. AFC exists to modernize the way the Army does business by creating a space of endless possibilities to explore, develop, and test new methods, organizations, and technologies.

    This position is being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC § 1705(g).

    Responsibilities

    • Helps Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORS) and functional area experts meet their contract requirement objectives, solve problems, answer questions and correct deficiencies in documentation.
    • Develops performance criteria and requirements into sound and sufficient Performance Work Statements (PWS) and/or task orders defendable justifications for contractors to perform.
    • Reviews solicitation documents with the executing contract office, participates in pre-proposal conferences, obtains information from technical officials and clarifies solicitation requirements, prepares source selection criteria.
    • Plans and develops guidance material for technical and contracting personnel.
