    Responsibilities

    As an Interdisciplinary General Engineer or Physical Scientist duties for positions in the 0801/1301 series may include any of the following:

    Duties will vary depending on the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy(EERE) Selecting Office. 

    1. Directs the program planning and scheduling, and implementation of an assigned research and development program.  

    2. Represents the Program Manager/supervisor as a principal speaker or discussion member in a wide variety of workshops, seminars, and conferences involving governmental officials, trade and professional associations, industry representatives, and interest groups to communicate the program objectives, benefits, and offerings.
    3. Performs duties that span the full scope of the Office mission and activities, including planning, budgeting, developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating initiatives. Provides substantive input budget formulation and justification, as well as budget execution for assigned program area.

    Applicants may be selected at any grade level, however none of the positions have promotion potential to the GS-14 grade level. (Example, a selection at the GS-11 may only be a GS-11)

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight Travel may be required for training or work.
