    • Provide advice and counsel to facilitate Congressional acceptance of agency programs, policies, and legislative proposals.
    • Evaluate the content of new or modified legislation for projected impact upon programs or resources.
    • Develop general policy and procedural framework for handling all Congressional matters.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external organizations.
    • Prepare a variety of correspondence and reports such as position papers, fact sheets, inserts for the record, testimony, and letters to members of Congress or Congressional Committees in response to written and oral inquiries.
    • Explain, defend, and promote command decisions and initiatives to Congressional Members or their constituents.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel 10% for this position.
