CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE IDAHO AIR NATIONAL GUARD
This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) Squadron. This is an Air National Guard Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate administrative activities for the squadron.
Plans, directs, and coordinates the unit administrative functions. Provides administrative assistance, guidance, and support to all functions including guidance from higher headquarters. Directs forms management, documentation management, and publication management. Implements procedures for manual and electronic creation, control, coordination, dissemination, and disposal of administrative communications. Establishes and maintains offices of records. Creates manual and automated file plans. Applies file cutoff procedures and disposes of and retrieves records. Operates and manages automated Records Information Management System (RIMS). Operates and manages a records staging area for inactive records storage. Serves as the Functional Area Records Manager (FARM) and acts as a consultant to all other functional and documentation managers on how filing systems are maintained and the organizations requirements for retention or disposal of the records. Conducts staff assistance visits, reviews, and evaluates inspection findings, irregularities and deficiencies. Establishes internal processing procedures for receipt, suspense and redistribution of incoming communications plus monitors outgoing correspondence and reports. Receives, routes, controls, and distributes incoming and outgoing classified and unclassified mail and materials to include electronic messages; maintains and provides reference services from centralized files containing operational and policy material. Performs inspections and surveys of all offices of record, and insures compliance with the Air Force Documentation Program. Complies with Privacy Act (PA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures and provides assistance to ensure others comply. Manages unit PA, FOIA, and records management program and training. Operates Base Information Transfer System and Official Mail Center using manual and automated systems.
Manages forms development, design, control, storage and dissemination. Provides guidance and issues supplemental policies, plans, and procedures to ensure forms meet prescribed style, and format, in accordance with appropriate Air Force Instruction (AFI), United States Code and Public Law. Annually reviews all local forms to ascertain those no longer required or replaced by higher authority forms. Manages electronic and manual publications development, design, control, storage, and dissemination to include Technical Orders (TO). Provides guidance to ensure local publications meet prescribed style, format, and legal and statutory requirements. Ensures that publications are issued in the appropriate publications media and proper formats prescribed in governing directives, and that supplements are issued if required. Ensures that local publications do not duplicate or conflict with higher authority issuances. Reviews drafts of publications for essentiality. Edits, numbers, and prepares local publications for reproduction. Prepares indexes of publications issued. Conducts periodic reviews of all local publications to eliminate those which are unessential and obsolete in accordance with governing directives.
Performs Client Support Administrator (CSA) information systems and technology support functions. Manages hardware and software. Performs the configuration, management, and initial diagnostics of information systems. Coordinates and documents information systems repairs. Performs system diagnostics and determines the cause of hardware and software failures. Removes and replaces components and peripherals to restore system operation. Installs and configures software operating systems and applications. Provides customer service to assist in operation, restoration, and configuration of information systems. Develops and implements unit web sites and pages. Manages and assists others in content management of web sites and pages. Prepares and processes information systems requirements to support mission needs. Monitors and manages information system security programs. Reports security incidents and formulates and applies corrective security procedures.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Work involves planning, directing, coordinating, or supervising general support service functions that are essential to the accomplishment of the work of an organization.
Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning, organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience planning and directing a variety of clerical operations. Experience using methods and procedural steps, and working under general instructions to meet the objectives of support services programs.
Substitution of Education for specialized experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the requirements for 6 months of specialized experience. One full academic year of graduate-level education is creditable for 12 months of specialized experience; a master's or equivalent graduate degree is creditable for 24 months of specialized experience; a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree is creditable for36 months of specialized experience.
