    The incumbent reports to the VISN 4 RN Triage Call Center Nurse Manager who is responsible for day-to-day clinical operations of the VISN 4 RN Triage Call Center. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the Program. The Assistant Nurse Manager works in partnership with the Program Nurse Manager to provide complete coverage of clinical nursing needs and redundancy in the role of Nurse Manager.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • The incumbent follows VA wide and local policies and procedures particularly those related to TeleCare operations.
    • Provides leadership directing the delivery of quality nursing care to Veterans through use of the nursing process.
    • Responsible to assist with maintaining and providing data as requested from the sites.
    • Participate in quality controls through direct observation of phone calls.
    • Proficient in the use of the TEDP/TRM software and scheduling practices.
    • Required to demonstrate leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through use of Relationship Based Care principles and collaborative strategies.
