Provides vision and direction for the design, deployment, and operational management of highly secure and scalable enterprise-wide business applications while ensuring that future-forward technological choices are made to minimize technological debt.
Provides leadership, vision, and direction for delivering end-to-end business applications, including managing all aspects of design, development, deployment, operations and maintenance of applications, platforms, or related systems that are FDIC-owned or operated.
Ensure productive relationship with business leaders and stakeholders (e.g., product owners) across the FDIC to provide technological advice on how systems, applications, or services may be modernized to enable the business.
Collaborates with IT stakeholders to develop cost effective solutions for FDIC-owned or FDIC-operated applications or systems, including cloud-based applications and web infrastructures.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Registration with the Selective Service.
Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure may be required.
Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs.
High Risk Position – Background Investigation (BI) required.
Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) required.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Applicants must have one year of executive-level experience in a government agency (equivalent in the federal government to CG/GS-15 or above) or private industry. Applicants must possess all of the following specialized experience:

FDIC Executive Managers (EM) are in the Federal competitive service and not the Senior Executive Service (SES). As an EM at the FDIC, you will provide executive leadership and managerial direction over substantive activities related to planning, developing, executing, and coordinating the Corporation's programs and policies.
