    This position will be assisting the Refuge staff meet biological objectives (MAPS, wood duck banding, water management, and invasive control) and maintain building and grounds on numerous tracts totaling 15,000 acres spread over 100 miles along the Red River.

    This position is located at the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, Bossier City, Louisiana.

    The work schedule for this position will be 40-80 hours per pay period.

    Duties include:

    Assist with performing biological studies.

    Assist with private land wetland restorations including landowner contact, mapping, surveying, staking, construction monitoring, seeding, etc.

    Record, locate, and compile data

    Perform a variety of light maintenance and housekeeping tasks using hand and power tools and equipment.

    Assist with pest plant control program
