    This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.

    You will serve as the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport technical representative as a liaison, subject matter expert, and provide connectivity to technical capabilities in the area of undersea warfare between Commander, Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) N9 and NUWC Division Newport via the NUWC Division Newport Field Team.

    • You will provide insight into COMPACFLT gaps, issues, and undersea warfare mission areas to inform NUWC Division Newport activities.
    • You will provide innovation, investment, and alignment to critical Fleet priorities in undersea and cross-domain operations and Air Sea Battle concepts.
    • You will participate in efforts involving operations research, simulation, modeling, warfighting gap analyses, operational undersea warfare studies, concept generation, and concept development that have benefit to NUWC Division Newport.
    • You will strengthen NUWC Division Newport's Fleet engagement activities throughout the Pacific Rim by coordinating with the NAVSEA Warfare Centers Fleet Engagement Community of Practice to identify opportunities for prototyping and experimentation.
    • You will bolster NUWC Division Newport's contributions to the innovation activities and at-sea exercises conducted by COMPACFLT with the intent to accelerate technical solutions to the Fleet and leverage existing programs and initiatives.
