    About the Position: The Antilles Office is part of the Jacksonville District, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We provide on-site coordination, support and supervision in executing the Corps' activities throughout the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our key missions include regulatory, engineering, construction, real estate, planning, and emergency management and composed of engineers, planners and economists, etc. About 3.48% COLA will be added to incumbent's salary.

    • Participate in the collaborative planning process, insuring that economic considerations are properly factored into the planning process from problem identification through final reports.
    • Compare current project cost estimates to statutory authorities as dictated in Section 902 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 and other authorizing documents.
    • Perform independent technical review of economic analyses produced outside of the district.
    • Gather and prepare data for use in socioeconomic analyses, including maps, demographics, geographical information systems.
    • Write reports and produce presentations detailing the outcome of studies.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
