    This position is located in the State Office of the State Conservationist, Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Huron, SD.

    The incumbent is to provide leadership for NRCS at the state level, initiating, facilitating, integrating, coordinating and communicating work activities within a broadbased conservation partnership between conservation entities whose missions are to promote regional, state and priority local conservation efforts.

    • Provides input and coordinates communication related to conservation planning and application between the State Technical Committee; other partner agencies and groups; and the NRCS State Conservationist and staff.
    • Coordinates partners to coordinate communications and marketing efforts to inform and educate targeted audiences of results and efforts. Ensures NRCS receives appropriate credit from partners for agency contributions.
    • Collaborates and explores innovative means to leverage human and financial assets through partnerships to implement conservation planning, programs and activities to accomplish mutual conservation objectives.
    • Works with conservation partners to develop and fulfill any existing MOU?s and Strategic Plans.
