    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    • Performs a variety of engineering functions while: conducting systems engineering surveillance including research, design, development, test and production.
    • Monitoring contractor engineering management systems; and providing technical recommendations on substantive changes in any of the above areas.
    • Performs all work in accordance with agency policies, standards, metrics and standard operating procedures for effective contract administration of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisitions.
    • Conducts evaluation of production engineering effort, ability to produce, logistics, support programs, master engineering planning schedules, special tooling, test equipment, facilities and material review of nonconforming hardware.
    • Analyzes trends in performance indicator scores to assist the CE with managing Agency level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of contractor processes.
    • Prepares, provides, and evaluates documentation regarding specific engineering and manufacturing questions requiring resolution.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Systems Planning Research Development and Engineering techniques.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business travel required 10% of the time.
