    You will serve as a MARINE SURVEYOR in the Engineering Department, Life Cycle Management Division of MSFSC SHIP SUPPORT UNIT BAHRAIN , located in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

    Relocation and recruitment incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay(computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week). Locality pay is not authorized overseas.

    • You will review proposed shipboard configuration changes for technical feasibility and cost effectiveness.
    • You will coordinate minor and emergent repair work needed to obtain expeditious and cost effective resolution.
    • You will conduct ship checks to verify the work item technical requirements.
    • You will develop and review plans (e.g., work items, cost estimates) for maintenance and repair and ship alterations work for assigned ships.
    • You will review plans specification, preliminary engineering reports, and design drawings to determine the ships impact on material readiness of the full range of ships systems.
    • You will develop ship maintenance repair budgets and justification in accordance with life cycle plans.
    • You will evaluate ship voyage repair requests and regulatory body deficiencies to suggest resolution with ship's administrative command.

    75% or less - Travel is dependent upon position description and availability of funding.
