    This position is located at the Voice of America in the East Asia and Pacific Division, Indonesian Service in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a Television Production Specialist, responsible for producing television programs and other special projects for the Service.

    Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    --Conceptualizes and designs TV segments and/or programs that conforms to VOA standards which includes original research, field interviews, story principals, appropriate experts, production elements and feed materials.
    --Shoots editable sequences of broadcast-quality digital video and audio making sure stories are geared to the needs of the targeted audience.
    --Plans and performs final cuts and edits on story packages on PC-based and/or Mac-based systems and laptops.
    --Serves as a reporter, host and voice talent for live and recorded television programming.
    --Works as a member of a television production team, handles the administrative and logistical details of a TV production, and always acts in a professional manner even under often-extreme deadline pressure.
    --Keeps abreast of Indonesian socio-political and economic development, the U.S. foreign policy towards Indonesia, as well as U.S. and international news events and trends in order to effectively produce current news packages and segments.
    --Keeps abreast of industry trends and media climate in Indonesia to ensure competitiveness of TV Programming in the marketplace.
