    About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Contract Specialist responsible for planning, supervising, managing and leading activities of employees responsible for contract post award administration, pricing and negotiation, and closeout.

    The pay band NH-03 incudes the General Schedule Grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Other initiative under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

    • Incumbent is responsible for ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across the team for assigned processes/areas of expertise.
    • Incumbent assigns work, monitors and evaluates work performance, manages resources, develops plans, and takes actions to achieve goals and objectives.
    • Incumbent represents the team on various ad hoc groups, committees and boards on matters pertaining to personnel, resources, budget and organization.
    • The position requires professional knowledge of acquisition policies, regulations and practices, financial analysis, negotiation techniques, and other business principles and practices applicable to defense contracting.
    • Performs Position and Resource Management functions on assigned subordinates including determining knowledge, skills, and abilities related to work performance.
    • Determines the staffing level needed, requests the resources required, and allocates personnel to adequately and effectively perform Team operations.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business Travel up to 25% of the time.
