    • Direct the activities of subordinates by establishing work schedules and priorities.
    • Identify and evaluate long-term monitoring of ecosystem components, such as flora and fauna, and ecological processes.
    • Develop and prepare major sections of the park resources management plan that require the application of ecological principles.
    • Conduct inventories to determine statistically valid plot distributions and design of natural resources.
    • Maintain professional contacts within the organization and other federal, territorial, or state agencies, as well as professionals at universities.
