    This position is located in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Office of Human Capital Services (HCS), Immediate Office of the Director.

    Responsibilities

    As a GS-15 Deputy Director, you will:

    -Be responsible for overseeing and managing comprehensive personnel services throughout the jurisdiction, and nationwide for the following functional areas: Recruitment, Staffing, Classification, Position Management, Special Employment, Personnel Security, Pay, Benefits, Retirement; Health and Wellness and Employee Assistance; Policy and compliance and oversight of the Department's HR Service provider.
    -Serve as a Deputy Director, senior HR generalist, responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all activities of the HCS organization, and for advising and assisting all levels of management within the Department on services, analysis, support and oversight needed by the Department on personnel matters.
    -Provide advisory and consultative services to managers and employees concerning Human Resources Management, interprets and applies a wide range of laws and regulations, reviews new legislations, Executive Orders, Office of Personnel Management and Office of Management and Budget issuances, and may represent the Director, Chief Human Capital Services, at meetings and conferences concerning human resource operational matters.
