    Summary

    This position is located within the Space Development Agency (SDA). SDA is responsible for defining and monitoring DoD's future threat-driven space architecture and accelerate the development of fielding of new military space capabilities necessary to ensure U.S. technological and military advantage in space for national defense. The SDA reports to the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD(R&E)). The USD(R&E) is the Chief Technology Officer for DoD.

    Responsibilities

    Your typical work assignments may include the following:

    • Controls, maintains, and approves sensitive and critical sensitive positions to ensure that properly cleared and authorized personnel are assigned to positions requiring access to classified information
    • Develops personnel (security) procedures that enable the protection of national security information in accordance with national-level policy issuances
    • Provide security program oversight to ensure all personnel in the assigned area are authorized access to classified/sensitive information have completed require paperwork as a condition for access
    • Analyze data to measure program effectiveness and identify vulnerabilities of compliance or noncompliance with policies and standards
    • Plans, develops, and implements security policies and procedures to ensure that classified material is received, transmitted, handled, stored, and accounted for from the time of receipt until dispatch, return, or destruction
