    Summary

    This position is located in the Office of Communications at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington D.C. The incumbent reports directly to the Deputy Director of Communications and manages the agency’s digital content team, working creatively across departments to bring the Peace Corps experience to the American public. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing digital content strategies and their execution to enhance the agency’s business objectives.

    Responsibilities

    The Media Content Manager performs the following major duties:

    • Develops, publishes, and maintains digital content for agency web and social media sites, and other digital platforms.
    • Implements and maintains robust digital communication strategies to enhance agency business, ensuring the public platform and social media performance, reporting and regulatory compliance.
    • Coordinates with media relations and other relevant teams to ensure consistent messaging and timely release of communications.
    • Provides instructions to direct reports on specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials and supplies required to perform the work.
    • Distributes work according to the established work flow or job specialization and assures its timely completion. Maintains status and progress of work and makes adjustments to meet deadlines.
