    This position is located in Washington, DC and serves as a Director in the Chief Financial Officer Organization.

    The primary purpose of this position is to provide financial management policy; operations and technical guidance; internal control; financial analysis reporting and advisory services.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages and oversees the accounting and financial management systems program.
    • Provides leadership with expertise in budgeting, accounting and appropriation law.
    • Collaborates with internal and external partners to assess financial reporting requirements.
    • Formulates policy for financial management and financial systems requirements.
    • Provides guidance to improve accounting and financial management operations to assure implementation of program goals.
    • Advise program managers on regulatory requirements, financial policies and interpretation of data.
    • Develops and coordinate financial management system improvements to include accounting programs, functions, and internal controls comply with legislative directives.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Occasional Travel 25% or less for site visits or training that could require an overnight stay.
