The following are some of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned, both major and
minor that are not mentioned below; and specific functions may change periodically.
· Performs Echocardiograms.
· Performs Electrocardiogram testing.
· Performs Holter monitoring.
· Performs Event monitoring.
· Serves as technical expert in the operation, calibration and maintenance of specialized medical equipment and instruments.
· Sets up all necessary accessories or supplies and advises other medical personnel of new equipment, accessories or supplies.
· Transports equipment to area where needed.
· Ensures results go to the physician and ensures original results are made part of the permanent medical record.
· Ensures proper cleaning and/or sterilization of equipment after use.
· Performs minor maintenance and adjustments.
· Operates, calibrates, and maintains medical instruments or equipment used to assist with or perform standard diagnostic procedures.
· Recognizes abnormalities and brings to the attention of the appropriate physician.
· Recognizes deviations in patient's condition and takes appropriate action.
· Receives consults for echocardiograms, EKGs, Holter & event monitors.
· Provides customer service.
Work Schedule: M-F, 7:30 - 4:00 pm, Intermittent/PRN Part-time up to 32 hours
