    This position is located in Platform Support, Infrastructure Operations, IT Operations and Services, Office of Information and Technology (Ol&T}. You will serve as a working supervisor under a Division Chief with supervisory duties associated with one or more IT specialty area required to support: STORAGE MANAGEMENT.

    Responsibilities

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, such as papers, books, small parts, or laptop; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
    Supervisory Probationary Period: Applicants selected for this position may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period. Failure to successfully complete the supervisory probationary period will result in the employee being reassigned to a position in the agency of no lower grade and pay than the one the employee left to accept the supervisory or managerial position.

    Major Duties:

    • Ensures VA policies are in compliance with regulatory requirements and legislated mandates governing
      those programs.
    • Provides technical direction to staff and contract team members.
    • Documents statistics on information assets and maintains information flow and asset prioritizing documents and maintains asset dependencies and contingency deficiencies; develops technology assessments, as well as critical
      asset protection implementation plans.
    • Implements critical information protection training awareness programs.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel 25% or more of the time for this position.
