We arc looking for highly motivated student interns with an expected graduation beyond May 2021. to
serve as a student trainee within the Information Technology, AIT Organization. FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK, or The William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.
As a student trainee. the incumbent will work with other professionals from various disciplines such as IT Specialist, computer science, program analyst, etc. The incumbent will possess knowledge of basic project management techniques involving managing information technology projects to provide a
unique service or product.
Assignments will include working with other professionals on the following:
• Determining appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements. and deliverables.
• Developing, modifying, or providing input to project plans.
• Implementing project plans to meet objectives.
• Coordinating and integrating project activities.
• Monitoring project activities and resources to mitigate risk
• Implementing or maintaining quality assurance processes.

APPOINTMENT - If selected, your appointment may not exceed a total of 120 days after graduation.
AGREEMENT: All participants must sign a written Pathways Internship Agreement with the FAA that clearly identifies expectations of the appointment such as duties, length of appointment, work schedule, training, mentorship, etc.
CONVERSION: Although it is not guaranteed, an intern may be converted from the Internship program to a permanent excepted service position without further competition after successful completion of the educational program (awarding of degree), completion of a minimum of 640 hours of career- related work, required training, mentorship, and other requirements in accordance with the intern's participant agreement.
TERMINATION: Participation in this program may be terminated at any time.
