    The position will serve as a student trainee and will receive training in analytical methods used to develop objectively based information in support of administrative and programmatic planning, development, evaluation, and managerial decision-making. On-the-job training assignments provide a practical understanding of the organization, programs, policies, and objectives of the agency as well as furnish experience in the application of principles, procedures, and work techniques.

    As a Student Trainee (Accounting), you will:

    • Perform a variety of routine technical accounting assignments that are structured to provide the incumbent with experience in the application of accounting principles, procedures, and techniques.
    • Examine accounting documents for proper accounting classification and authorization.
    • Perform reconciliation and analyze a variety of accounts.
    • Enter and process data into various accounts in the general ledger.
    • Recognize and adjust differences between the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
