    About the Position: Office is shared with another Wound Care Nurse. Primarily 8 hour duty days. Voluntary on-call.

    • Provide advanced level professional specialized nursing care in the treatment and care of wound/ostomy patients.
    • Consult with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive strategies for patient care.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines in the delivery of patient health care to wound/ostomy care patients.
    • Plan, organize, direct, and/or evaluate nursing activities and services related to wound care and enterostomal therapy.
    • Provide ongoing in-services and training related to staff related to wound/ostomy care.
    • Serve as mentor, resource person and preceptor to new staff as needed.
    • Grade/stage patient wounds in order to rank wound severity.
