The incumbent serves as a Procurement Analyst in the Business Resource Service of the VA National Acquisition Center. As such, serves as a technical expert for procurement, policy and acquisition matters for the Facility by providing technical reviews, guidance and /assistance on acquisition matters. Provides comprehensive, authoritative technical reviews and guidance on pre-solicitations, pre-awards, post-awards, and contract files. Coordinates and facilities customer review boards, participates on integrated procurement teams, customer review teams, and customer advisory boards. Offers recommendations for standardized contract formats, special clauses, and dissemination of information and lessons learned to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of contracts awarded and administered. Incumbent is assigned special projects, reviews and analysis of broad, complex, unique and sensitive procurements/ and contracting issues and problems involving the full spectrum of acquisition functions for which the VA National Acquisition Center and its Services, have assigned program responsibilities. The incumbent has considerable latitude to determine the scope of the projects or reviews, resources required and the processes to be followed. The nature of a problem and/or any issues that arise may require continuous adjustments to plans to ensure a thorough analysis is completed and appropriate resolution is reached.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Work may require some lifting when documents are provided for review and/or forwarded within the
facility. However, incumbent may be subjected to stress due to changed requirements, short
deadlines, limited information, and uncontrollable workload peaks.
