The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from a qualifying educational institutions or programs.
Selectee will be required to sign Recent Graduates Participant Agreement.
Successful applicants are placed in a one-year Excepted Service appointment and receive training and professional development, complete an Individual Development Plan (IDP), and are assigned a mentor. Under the formal training program, applicants will be provided a mentor and execute an Individual Development Plan outlining training requirements and program expectations. Participants who successfully complete the program may be converted to a term or permanent position.
Recent Graduates appointment may be extended for an additional 120 days. If selectee is not converted on the date of their service requirement, or at the end of the 120 day extension, the appointment will be terminated.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

The Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) is responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of the Department of Energy's (DOE) strategic vision and goals for technology commercialization and engagement with the business and industrial sectors across the United States.
