This position is in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Portfolio Governance Center (PGC), Program & Project Management Branch (PPMB). OCIO provides information technology planning and design, application development, systems administration, telecommunications, security, information management, and IT customer support services for FSIS. The PPMB implements procedures and processes to effectively and efficiently manage IT resources through applying sound professional project management methodologies ensuring IT projects and initiatives meet desired operational goals and objectives within established schedule, cost, and risk parameters. Standard Earned Value Management techniques are applied to managing all projects as a key performance measurement for IT investments.
The work schedule is full-time, M-F. The majority of the work is performed in a normal office setting. The work is mostly sedentary; however, some walking, bending, lifting is required to perform some tasks.
OCIO supports thousands of field and headquarter employees and customers around the clock, 7-days/week. Employees must participate in an on-call rotation.
