    The employee serves as a mental health Residential rehabilitation Treatment Program (MH RRTP) Staff Psychologist at Tomah VA Medical Center. Responsibilities involve mental health (MH) assessment and intervention within Tomah's MH RRTP and professional consolation services throughout the Mental health Service Line (MHSL) and associated specialty MH coverage areas. The Psychologist will provide a full range of proactive, integrated comprehensive outpatient MH care that is recovery oriented and evidence-based including; screening and assessing for psychopathology, cognitive deficits and problematic health behaviors, brief short term and long term psychotherapy in individual, couples, and group formats; and supportive therapy services for Veteran requiring a lower level of care and longer term assistance. Mental Health assessment and treatment services will be provided in both face to face and mental health modalities, and will emphasize evidence-based and best practice approaches. The induvial will also provide education regarding a veteran-center recovery model, and work with Veterans to help set SMART therapy goals and work towards recovery and discharge to a lower level of care. Tis individual will function as a full member of both his/her MH RRTP team and the larger MHSL and prove ongoing consultation service so other teams.

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., hours will vary through the week
