    You will:

    Serve as a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program expert providing programmatic guidance regarding legal, regulatory, and policy issues.

    Provide legal, regulatory, and policy advice to the Water Permits Division on the control of highly technical and complex discharges, permit applications, the issuance of permits, and the regulation of discharges.

    Participate in consultation and negotiation with dischargers, the public, States and other Federal agencies on matters involving legal applicability of technology-based and water qualify-based controls implemented through the national NPDES program.

    Communicate with colleagues, organizations, other government agencies, contractors, and/or private industry in order to gain information and corroborate.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be required to travel 1 to 5 days per month.
