    Summary

    This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), Executive Affairs Division (EAD) with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.

    Responsibilities

    As a Communications Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Provide communications support for corporate-level outreach to increase awareness of products, service, and value provided by the Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) and the NOAA Corps.
    • Provide strategic planning and management of communications activities, including social media and website.
    • Manage and monitor multiple social media accounts while adhering to agency and organizational Web, social media, and information technology policies and protocols.
    • Write, edit, and review materials with the ability to organize highly technical materials into popular style.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 10% domestic travel may be required for this position.
