    This position is located in the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD). CPD seeks to develop viable communities by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate-income persons. The primary means toward this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations.

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
    - Provides advice and guidance concerning the interpretation of policies, rules, and regulatory provisions. This includes direct communications and correspondence with field staff, grantees, public interest groups, and others.

    - Monitors and evaluates recipients of CPD Programs and other grants. This process requires planning, scheduling, conducting on-site reviews, analyzing information, coordinating group activities and recommending subsequent actions.

    - Analyzes the information obtained and determines whether the grantee has complied with applicable laws and regulations. When the on-site review has been completed, the incumbent prepares the results of this analysis for presentation to grantee officials.

    Occasional travel - 06 to 10 nights per month
