    Summary

    You will serve as a Personnel Security Specialist in the Security Division, Office of the Director of Security for Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

    Responsibilities

    • You will determine the suitability and security eligibility of individuals for entry and retention in sensitive and non-sensitive positions.
    • You will make security clearance determinations for employees or other persons for access to sensitive information, resources, material, or work sites.
    • You will evaluate the authenticity, veracity, and pertinence of the data to the case at hand.
    • You will interview nominees or applicants and affording the rights to due process through hearings when necessary.
    • You will review, evaluate, and adjudicate reports of investigations, personnel files, and other records to determine whether to grant, deny, revoke, suspend, or restrict security clearances.
    • You will apply knowledge of Public Laws, Executive Law, Executive Orders, Regulations, Directives, and Manuals pertaining to Personnel Security, Physical Security, and Emergency Evaluation Procedures.
    • You will assist with the development of policies and procedures for the personnel security programs within the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

    Occasional travel - Travel is dependent upon position description and availability of funding.
