    This position is an element of the Coast Guard Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN), Core Technology - Secure Communications Office located in Alexandria, VA.  The incumbent is responsible for conducting Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Program Management and KMI auditor efforts in support of all Coast Guard Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) regional accounts and their subordinate locale element (LE) and local element issuing (LE (I) ) units.  The incumbent performs supervisory duties at less than 25% of duty time for two GS-13, two GS-12, and a number of military personnel.

    • Coordinating with NSA, NCMS and Coast Guard Headquarters to interpret KMI procedures and guidance.
    • Maintaining primary responsibility for the Coast Guard KMI Central Office of Record (COR) Audit Program.
    • Ensuring programming activities operating within the policies and procedures of the organization.
    • Planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of the CG KMI program.
    • Serving as the technical authority and lead for the implementation of required hardware and software solutions required to carry out the Coast Guard's COMSEC mission.

    25% or less - This position requires 25% travel IN/OUTSIDE CONUS.
