The incumbent serves as Senior Executive and Economic Director of Enforcement for the Economic Analysis Group (EAG) of the Antitrust Division (ATR) in Washington, D.C., reporting to a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Economic Analysis (DAAG), and ultimately the Assistant Attorney General (AAG) of the Antitrust Division.

The Economic Analysis Group is responsible for the analyses of all economic issues arising from Division matters, which includes financial analyses of firm defenses, divestitures, and efficiencies defenses; making recommendations as to fines; and reviewing financial issues involved in damage analyses or other issues requiring financial, accounting, or corporate analyses.

A. BASIC REQUIREMENT - Applicants must meet the requirements specified in paragraphs 1 or 2 below.

Applicants must possess a degree in economics that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting or calculus; OR have a combination of education and experience, with courses equivalent to a major in economics, as stated above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Applicants using any education to qualify MUST submit copies of college transcripts or a list of college courses taken that identify for each course the college or university, semester or quarter hours earned, grade and grade-point received. An unofficial transcript is acceptable to qualify, however, it must include your full name. If selected, you may be asked to submit an official transcript prior to appointment.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is required by law to review the executive qualifications of each new career appointee to the Senior Executive Service (SES) prior to appointment. When responding to the Mandatory Technical Qualifications and Executive Core Qualifications, you must clearly show that you possess the experience, knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position by submitting narrative responses in which you detail your experience in each of the Technical and Executive Core Qualifications. Your examples of experience, education, and accomplishments applicable to the qualifications, should be clear and emphasize your level of responsibilities, scope, and complexity of programs managed, program accomplishments with results of your actions, policy initiatives, and level of contacts.
