This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The incumbent will serve as a Program Support Specialist to attorneys in the OGC and will perform a broad range of program function involving the analyses, evaluation, planning, and coordination of office processes and information.
As Program Support Specialist you will:
- Provide administrative support to facilitate program management to the Office of the General Counsel.
- Explain complex and technical information as required and prepare, review, and substantively edit technical and/or non-technical materials.
- Administer the budget operations for the office and develops budget formulations and projections.
- Collaborate with the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsels in planning, administering, and executing special projects, office program responsibilities, and office functions.

- A 1-year probationary period is required (unless already completed).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret background investigation.

QualificationsYou must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Planning, organizing, coordinating and/or overseeing a wide variety of administrative and program support activities;
- Assisting with budget formulations and projections.
- Developing, recommending, and implementing changes or updates to policies or guidelines that impact an office's procedures; and
- Editing and drafting technical and/or nontechnical materials and documents.
- You must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).
This position does not have an education requirement.
