    About the Position: At the full performance level you will serve as a senior Chemist responsible for deploying in support of Other Government Agencies (OGAs) & Combatant Commanders as either a team leader or as part of a team. Provide qualitative & quantitative analyses pertaining to chemical warfare agents & explosives, advancing detection methodologies/capabilities to enhance detection limits, & enhance scientific data to support each mission using the Military decision making process.

    • Plan, direct, coordinate and accomplish analytical chemistry studies and qualitative and quantitative analyses pertaining to inhalation toxicology and field hazard assessments.
    • Prepare, plan and conduct difficult and complex analyses on a variety of sample matrix types to determine chemical/materials (TICs/TIMs) explosives and chemical warfare agents (CWAs). Responsible for following QA/QC procedures and methods.
    • Operating advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic instrumentation with demonstrable competence and advises on analytical schemes using chemical instruments and air-monitoring which will include sampling and analysis and method development.
    • Perform the required analyses using techniques to support lab activities and the interpretation of data, present results and maintain all associated instrumentation.
