    You will serve as an ARCHITECT in the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Administration, Facilities Management Directorate (FMD), Engineering Division of the UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as the principal architectural consultant and space planner for the Facilities Management Directorate reviewing, updating, and maintaining as-built drawings.
    • You will apply architectural theories, principles, concepts, and practices to execute duties concerned with the design, layout, and construction of such structures as multi-story buildings, research laboratories, animal care facilities, etc.
    • You will ensure all plans and programs are in compliance with Federal, State, DOD, and location regulations and laws.
    • You will serve as the technical expert in planning and interrelated issues of political, social, economic, and physical parameters necessary to develop planning policies and physical construction programs.
    • You will analyze existing facility features, and research sources as issues involve space, layout, economy, safety, and related factors, selection of color schemes, architectural finish materials, and all furnishings.
    • You will communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with Facility Engineers, Architects, and Managers concerning various architectural issues pertaining to on-going University projects, both one-on-one and in group presentations.
