    About the Position: About the Position: The 20th CBRNE Command (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives) is the higher headquarters for the majority of Army's CBRNE and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) units assigned to US Army Forces Command. CBRNE Analytical and Remediation Activity (CARA) deploys trained and ready analytical scientist and technicians to support combatant commanders, military installations and provide military support/assistance.

    • Operates advanced chromatographic instrumentation with demonstrable competence and devises analytical schemes using these instruments.
    • Prepares laboratory reports and reviews peer and lower-grade chemist reports and data.
    • Conducts through review of scientific journals and reports, attends colloquia and special training, and maintains an awareness of scientific developments pertinent to area of specialization.
    • Plans, prepares, loads out, deploys, sets up, operates, and maintains air monitoring equipment/systems (performs air monitoring mission), and re-deploys Mobile Expeditionary Lab (MEL) air monitoring and mission assets.
