    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Team Lead Public Affairs Specialist within the Office of Public Affairs Engagement Division. Develops communication strategies and provides public affairs advice, authority, technical expertise, and management support.

    • Ensures work of the team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities, including establishing team goals and objectives.
    • Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates a major public affairs function with Air Force-wide applicability, ensuring that public affairs activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
    • Represents the organization to a variety of governmental and nongovernmental agencies, councils, boards, working groups, conferences, media organizations, and panels inside and outside the agency.
    • Serves as senior adviser in the assigned area of responsibility.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Work may require extensive travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
