This position is located within the USDA-ARS Food & Feed Safety Research Unit, in New Orleans, LA.

- Utilize available transcriptomic, metabolomic and genomic sequence databases for computationally predicting and characterizing fungal gene regulatory pathways.
- Develop novel bioinformatic techniques utilizing RNA-Seq data to investigate regulatory, co-expression, metabolic, and signaling networks involved in plant-pathogen interactions.
- Conduct molecular and microbiological assays as needed, including cloning, quantitative PCR, generating recombinant microorganisms, and conducing growth/morphological measurements.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
