Duties to include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide all general diagnostic services.
Responsible for establishing imaging protocols, reviewing imaging requests, including utilization management ensuring appropriate preps and medications are ordered, technical oversight and feedback for the technologist performing the examinations, and overall safety of imaging patients.
Timely interpretation and communication of imaging results including report entry into the digital medical record and verbal notification of critical findings.
The physician will provide consultative service for referring patients and providing comparative reports in collaboration with associated medical center clinics and committees.
Participate in quality control/quality management including department and hospital-level peer review activities.
Responsible for teaching medical center staff and medical students assigned to the Imaging Service.
Mammography experience is desirable, but not required, ALL qualified Diagnostic Radiologists will be considered regardless of this specialty experience.
