    Responsibilities

    As a Social Scientist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Design, implement, and report stakeholder engagement methods, needs assessments, and evaluation data for coastal water resources.
    • Coordinate and conduct science-based communication and information sharing for planning and development of water resource management decision-support tools between the organization and other federal, state, and local agencies.
    • Monitor contractor tasks and deliverables and peer-review professional reports, manuscripts, and contracting or grant proposals related to ocean, estuarine, and coastal resources.
    • Apply social science techniques in the development and delivery of data, models, and decision support tools for coastal management and water resource needs.

    NOTE: The duties are at the full performance level of the ZP-4; the ZP-3 duties are developmental leading to such performance.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 20% domestic travel may be required.
