Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. CG-9 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience assisting in supporting programs and activities relating to financial education, community development, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consumer regulations and/or fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B. or J.D., if related) or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
COMBINATION: A combination of education and experience.
CG-11 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 9 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in the development or implementation of financial education or other consumer protection programs relating to community development, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consumer regulations and/or fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.
OR
EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
COMBINATION: A combination of education and experience.
CG-12 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience overseeing the development or implementation of financial education, community development, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), or other consumer protection programs.
There is no substitution of education for the experience at the 12 level.

3. Ability to communicate by preparing written reports, conducts training sessions, and delivering presentations to convey information and issues to groups having diverse levels of understanding.
4. Ability to organize and coordinate multiple project assignments.
5. Skill in analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to analyze data and emerging financial capability issues and recommend appropriate action.
