    Summary

    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Operations Coordination (OPS), National Operations Center (NOC).

    The primary purpose of this position is to report directly to the NOC Senior Watch Officer and operates under their guidance and direction. Also, be responsible for producing and displaying graphics, maps, map products, graphs, processes and charts from variety of data points.

    Responsibilities

    As a NOC Geospatial Systems Analyst GS 0301 9/11/12, your typical work assignments may include:

    • Records, analyzes, reviews, and monitors Geospatial Information Systems related metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Provides expertise to, and supports requirements for the NOC through capturing data, viewer functionality, and web-based services to create maps, graphs, charts, etc.
    • Analyzes and creates visual solutions including maps, graphs, charts, etc. to communicate situational awareness for the state and local governments and the inter- and intra-agency communities within a short timeframe.
