    This position is located in the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN) with responsibilities for direct intelligence analysis to support policy; technical expertise in support of nonproliferation and national security intelligence; the effective us of intelligence information on nuclear weapons, foreign nuclear programs, nuclear materials, terrorist-related activities, and potential threats to Department of Energy complex.

    As a GS-13 full performance, Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:

    • Provide intelligence analysis on foreign nuclear proliferation, nuclear energy programs, nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear material security, nuclear terrorism, and/or nuclear weapons development.
    • Plan, direct, and evaluate foreign nuclear vulnerability and threat.
    • Work closely with IN management and other members of the Foreign Nuclear Programs Division (FNDP) to formulate and execute appropriate actions required to provide reportable and actionable intelligence.
    • Brief to senior DOE policy makers and/or support to project related ton nuclear non-proliferation, counter-proliferation, and nuclear weapons-related issues.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight travel may be required 25% of the time.
