    The U.S. Attorney's Office is currently seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Assistant U.S. Attorney for defensive litigation in the Civil Division. The successful applicant for this position will focus on defensive employment discrimination litigation, but will also defend cases in other substantive areas. The Civil Division represents the United States, its agencies, officers, and employees in civil actions in the Southern District of California and at the Ninth Circuit. The Civil Division's primary defensive practice areas include personal injury and wrongful death, employment discrimination, constitutional torts, medical malpractice, immigration, and bankruptcy.
