The following are the duties of this position at the GS-07. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Provide customer service to numerous callers daily in a help desk call center environment on travel and accounting systems use and financial or technical questions as they relate to travel services
- Perform a variety of duties involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of data
- Reconstruct the payment history for the audited trip, determine the amount and extent of underpayment or overpayment, if any, and submit the findings to the agency for disbursing underpayment or collecting overpayment
- Log, document, and track all calls received using a call tracking software
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-06 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position could include:
Experience providing general customer service via telephone and email in a call center or help desk environment (OR)
Experience using an automated Travel system (OR)
Experience as a travel agent or travel assistant (support staff) in the travel industry.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
